Alternative Diesel Fuel Compatibility

The DAVCO Biodiesel Fuel Processors are designed to be compatible with biodiesel blends not to exceed 20% of ASTM D6751 compliant blend stock (B20). The Fuel Pro 384 incorporates seal materials, standard coolant heat, larger openings and internal passages that are compatible with the properties of biodiesel blend stock.

The advantages of Biodiesel are:

The production and use of biodiesel creates 78% less carbon dioxide emissions than conventional diesel fuel.
Biodiesel is safe to handle and transport because it is as biodegradable as sugar, ten times less toxic than table salt, and burns at a relatively high temperature.
Better lubrications and less engine wear than petroleum based products
Recycles carbon. Does not contribute to greenhouse gas emissions

The ASTM recommends that biodiesel users consult the equipment manufacturer owner’s manual regarding use of using biodiesel or biodiesel blends in a particular engine or application. Engine manufacturers may limit warranty coverage to diesel fuel containing no more than 5 percent biodiesel.
